What is TrialPay

TrialPay is a simple process that allows you to get various products for free. It has become a very popular and some of the better known merchants giving their software and services away for free this way include Skype, Trend Micro, Corel and McAfee (Oh yeah, and me of course!) It works much like any other paid checkout process, you first click on the checkout button, you then enter some basic details about yourself. At this point, instead of being charged for your download you are offered a number of offers from various large brand names. You find an offer that you like the look off, complete the offer process and are then sent an e-mail with a link to your free software.

But Why?

I and the vast majority of freeware software developers develop our software as a hobby. This is certainly how I started but due to the overwhelming popularity of one product in particular I was faced with the option of stopping development, having my wife leave me :) or quiting in my day job. I packed in my job, but in order to survive I need the people who can afford it to put something back into the development. I thought that the TrialPay checkout system was the perfect way of keeping my software freeware but still enabling it to provide me with some income.

What If I'm Not Happy?

One of the great things about the TrialPay system is that you get the software for free. If you are not happy then you can simply cancel the offer you have accepted.

From TrialPay:-

If you wish to cancel the offer that you have completed, all you have to do is contact the offer party (the company whose offer you have accepted, eBay etc) through their customer support team at their website or email. However, the product you received from the merchant for free is 100% free and yours to keep.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and your continued support,
