Play The Lottery Online

How To Play Lottery Games From All Around The World Online

Did you know that you can play the lottery online? I’m not talking about these dodgy mystery lotteries where you get an e-mail telling you’ve won 10 billion dollars in a draw that you’ve never entered, I’m talking about REAL lottery draws from all around the world.

Facebook.com, Is Facebook Worth Using?

Will Facebook Turn In To Another MySpace?

Just exactly what is Facebook.com? That’s certainly a question I’ve asked myself quite a few times over the last month or so. It seems that as more and more of my friends discover this latest fad in online social networking I get more and more invites to join Facebook.com. As somebody who openly despises MySpace and everything that it stands for (mainly garish slow loading web pages with annoyingly loud background music from the latest crap band that nobody cares about) I would take a lot of convincing that Facebook was going to be any better, long story short, I’m convinced!

Haier 19″ HD LCD TV

A Cheap Haier TV For Your Kitchen

A little while back we had a bit of a disaster, my daughters old 21 inch 4:3 TV finally packed in after 5 years of faultless service. She loved that TV, in fact she loves any TV (as I’m sure anybody with an 11 year old daughter will tell you the same). The trouble was that she was without a TV, my problem was that I didn’t have a lot of money to spend.

Why Email Forwarding Software Is Still A Good Option

The Most Secure Way Of Forward E-mail From One Account To Another

There was once a time when GetMail and a few other similar programs were the only way of having your e-mail forwarding out of your Hotmail account onto another. Things have changed quite a lot over the last couple of years though and now besides the software options there are a number of services that have cropped up which will do the same thing for you albeit from a hosted server. I did try and setup my own service several times but the real problem came down to cost, where I am based internet services including the dedicated servers I would require are hugely expensive, there is no way I could create a cost effective service with those overheads. In the end I’ve teamed up with a service that mainly specialises in AOL forwarding (AOL is just as backwards as Hotmail/Windows Live Hotmail) to promote hosted Hotmail forwarding.

Forwarding Your Windows Live Hotmail

Why WebDAV Was The Building Block For The Success Of Hotmail

In the early hours of this morning I received a message from the Outlook Express team at Microsoft that many have been waiting for. The WebDAV protocol that so many Hotmail / Windows Live Hotmail users rely on to access their e-mail messages is being withdrawn as from the 30th June 2008. Instead WebDAV is to be replaced with yet another proprietary protocol that goes by the name of DeltaSynch. Once again Windows Live Hotmail / Legacy Hotmail users are faced with the problem of how to access their e-mail messages if they don’t want to use either of Microsoft own mail clients (it’s a fact that lots of people just don’t like the resource hungry Outlook and Windows Live Mail applications).

SMTP When Travelling

How To Stop E-mail Errors When You’re On The Move

If there is one thing and one thing only that writing GetMail has taught me, it’s that a huge amount of people have problems with SMTP! Most don’t know what it is, of those who know what SMTP is a large percentage certainly don’t know their correct settings. It’s such a strange thing, especially considering so many of us rely on e-mail as part of our modern lives, be it at home, work or especially when travelling. SMTP, Simple Mail Transfer Protocol is the thing, THE THING, that allows us to both send and receive e-mails over the internet, without SMTP we don’t really have e-mail.
